Bill Downie Petit Verdot
Australian Petit Verdot
Petit Verdot is a variety mainly used in small quantities in Bordeaux to give colour, tannin and dark flavour to the wines. It ripens late so therefor has fallen out of favour in Bordeaux but comes in to its own in the warmer climate of South Australia. This wine is big, dark and chewy with inky dark fruit and hints of spice and earth.
