We had a cracking evening in the shop recently, hosting a cheese and wine tasting that brought together some brilliant flavors and lovely people.
Seb took us through a superb line-up of wines, while Lawrence from Cheese at Wadebridge matched them with an exceptional range of cheeses. From the bold and punchy to the beautifully mellow.
It was relaxed, informative, and full of good cheer.
Here’s what we poured and paired on the night:
Wildeberg White, Franschhoek, South Africa £21.20
- Natural Raclette, Switzerland £23.50/kg
Perrier & Fils, Crémant de Savoie , France £22.95
- Yoredale, Yorkshire £33.50/kg
Kumeu River, Estate Pinot Gris, N. Zealand £23.95
- Pitchfork Cheddar, Somerset £31/kg
Attis Mar, Sea Aged Albariño, Spain £89.95
- Allet Dairy, Fourburrow Fiesta, Cornwall £6/200g
Château Coutinel, Fronton, France £18.95
- Bleu de Chèvre, Puy de Dome, France £47.60/kg
Le Vieux Logis, Vacqueyras, Rhône £26.95
- SARI, Bohnenkraut £6.50/90g
A big thank you to everyone who came along, we can’t wait to do it again soon!
