Chateau de Pez, 2nd Pez, 2019

The nose exudes red berry fruit (wild strawberry) and spice (clove). The e palate is harmonious, fresh, and sappy. A precise finish reveals textured tannins. Notes of tobacco, strawberry, and redcurrant. This wine is a selection made after blending the Grand Vin with a proportion of younger vines. Château de Pez remains resolutely faithful to wood. The second wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barriques (30% new, medium toast).

Ideal with lamb, red meats, cheese, truffle and chocolate.
