Bernard Moreau Bourgogne Pinot Noir
£19.95
An elegant and approachable Burgundy Pinot Noir with bright aromas of cherry, wild strawberry and red berry fruits, supported by subtle spice and earthy undertones. Silky in texture with fresh acidity and soft tannins, this wine reflects the gentle vinification that preserves the purity and finesse of the fruit, resulting in a balanced, refined wine with excellent freshness and a smooth finish. About 10% of the wine goes into new barrels, and another proportion is housed in barrels already used for 1 to 5 vintages.
Ideal with roast chicken, duck, charcuterie, grilled salmon, mushroom dishes, and soft cheeses such as Brie or Camembert.
Bernard Moreau is a dedicated and likeable Burgundian vigneron who spends much of his time among his vines. Since taking over the family Domaine in 1982, he has carefully developed his 7-hectare estate with a strong commitment to quality and environmental responsibility. Working under “Reasoned Viticulture” principles, Bernard closely monitors each parcel by hand, reducing the need for unnecessary treatments and encouraging healthy, balanced vineyards. His thoughtful, gentle approach to both vineyard management and winemaking allows the delicate character of Pinot Noir to shine through with purity, elegance, and finesse.
