With time in bottle (from 5 to 15 years) it softens and gains roundness, with the tannins integrating beautifully and the flavours becoming more harmonious and nuanced. Ideal with slow-roasted meats such as beef rib, lamb shoulder, or venison. Game dishes particularly well suited, echoing the wine’s earthy and slightly spicy character.

Bouchard Père & Fils is one of Burgundy’s oldest wine estates, founded in 1731 in Beaune. With nearly 300 years of history, the producer has built a reputation for crafting classic, terroir-driven wines that reflect the character of some of the region’s finest vineyards.
